Special Visitors

Vicki came into town a week ago for a few nights. We LOVE it when Aunt Vicki comes. We took her to Turtle Bay to play with the blocks and see the cool geckos. It was the best visit ever b/c there was one adult per child. Outings should always be this easy.

Payton always "hosts" Vicki in her room, and the boys get terribly jealous. We tried to arrange a slumber party with all of them in the same room w/ Vicki, but that seemed to only result in dangerous antics off the loft bed and Vicki's head getting repeatedly stepped on. Vicki lasted an hour which is amazing, I would've been outta there after five minutes.

The Boones rolled into town this weekend and Stacey and the girls stayed with me while Sam spoke at a winter camp. It was so fun b/c Trav was out of town too! So it was just us girls and the kids. Such a fun weekend!

Katie coached Jonah on how to pull out his second tooth this week! The tooth fairy visited again but this time he pocketed the quarters for himself. I think we have the cheapest tooth fairy around b/c apparently everyone else is getting a few bucks for their teeth:). Jonah now has one huge window and the softest, cutest lisp I've ever heard. Is it just me, or does your boy automatically leap from little boy to big boy when they lose their first tooth? It's so fun to celebrate with him, but part of me is sad b/c it's just another marker that he's growing up.

Davey took a special liking to Hannah and declared his intent to marry her over lunch. He loved playing with her all weekend, and you could see the admiration in his eyes...

The girls had such a blast together and played so well. I think the only arguments we had to break up were between my two boys. Weird. Payton was counting down the days till her friends were here and was a bit out of sorts when they left yesterday. Hannah and Payton have been friends since they were babies. Whenever Payton's feeling lonely, she cries for Hannah. It is so fun to watch the friendship continue and grow even though we live apart now. Yay for good friends!
