Jonah pulled his tooth out in the middle of class yesterday at school. He was cool as a cucumber about it, the blood and everything. So cute to see him come in the front door with his big "window" showing. He's so thrilled to finally cross over to the tooth loosing crowd.
Payton had just been told that the tooth fairy wasn't real on Sunday (she asked) and was devastated, it was like Santa all over again. I'm thinking, "why do I help fabricate these lies thinking it's fun?" It's awful to watch your child's heart break over something you led them to believe that wasn't true! Anyhoo, we encouraged her by saying she could now be the tooth fairy for her brothers. She lit up, totally excited to let her creative expertise loose. So it was perfect timing to have Jonah lose a tooth so quickly after. She and I waited till he was asleep, snuck in, exchanged the tooth for quarters, and sprinkled ample amounts of fairy dust. It was fun to partner with her.
Jonah woke up excited for his quarters and then promptly gave them to Payton b/c he knew she's collecting quarters from all the states and he wanted to help out. What a sweetheart!
