Family Pics

We traveled down to Riverside over the New Year's holiday to see family and friends. I came home with just pictures of family! The kids LOVE being at Nana and Papa's house. They do have the coolest snack house ever. Our food here at home is terribly dull in comparison.

The kids have been begging for snorkel gear for when we go to the lake, beach, or even the pool. All three are now outfitted and ready for summertime.

We had the kids take their own money and go to the dollar store to do their "own" Christmas shopping this year. They loved having ownership and full reign to pick out what they wanted for each person on their list. A few of the highlights: Bug spray for my parents, a piggy bank for Grandma Vera, a stocking for Vicki's house b/c she didn't have one, plastic silverware for my parents incase they throw a party, and lollipops for me and Trav. Grandma Vera got a Christmas mug full of candy from Davey.

Sharon got to take each of the kids out on their own for a "Nana" date. Davey opted for a donut outing.

Jonah crafted a sign for Nana and Papa's front yard that he was SO proud of. He told Sharon he made it for her b/c he "just loved her". Davey threw a rock at it later which resulted in both boys being in tears, happiness can never last too long in this family...

Davey loved playing with his cousin Parker who is exactly his age. Being the baby, he often just plays with the older kids and their friends. It's pretty special to have his OWN buddy.

We got lots and lots of cousin time over our visit. They played so well together and had such a blast. I love that they're so tight.

Payton said she loves Kendall b/c, "she understands, likes the same things I do, and she's just awesome!" Well said Payton. Isn't that what we all look for in a friend? How cool when that friend is your cousin too. Love you guys!

Great pictures of all the cousins sitting on the curb. What a houseful that must be when all five are together.
BTW the name of the bug spray, Davey gave me for Christmas, was DEAD BUG! A most unique gift.
