Jonah kicked the day off with a little nap in the car. It was only 11:45am, but the ride worked its magic on him. I love that he always sleeps with his mouth open. Why is it cute on a little kid, but looks so weird and kind of gross on adults? It's a mystery.

This is us newly arrived, fresh, happy, and ready for some snow. Stay tuned for later pics...

This is us right before our fastest run of the day! Sledding is equally terrifying and exciting to me. Part of me loves the thrill of it, and the other is freaking out I'm going to have a painful wipeout worthy of AFV. The three of us FLEW, caught big air which killed my bum, blew my hat off, and made me bite my tongue. Davey and I were quiet and reflective at the bottom, Payton was ecstatic.

Davey rode around like a prince whether he was going up or down the hill, the privelage of being the baby.

Davey had this great giggle every time he rode, sort of like a chortle, the whole way down. It's the best sound in the world.

As with all of our family outings, we start off with a bang and end in a whimper. Jonah had a major wipeout and now has a bruise on his forehead and ice burn on his cheek. He swears he will never go to the snow again, ever.

After that it was all downhill, Payton was all of a sudden extremely tired and could barely walk back to the car and reminded me of it the whole way.

And then there's Davey, who even knows why he was upset? It's who he is and what he's about.

As we all fell apart I was thinking "maybe if we had just left a half hour earlier! We could've left happy." You want to leave with them wanting more not begging you to get them out of there. It was still a great day, and maybe we will cut out just a bit earlier next time to preserve the sweet memories and stave off the bad!

Hilarious family moments as always. I'm sure in the moments all the tears and kiddo drama is not hilarious...later though, maybe?
i love how similar Zeke and Jonah are, remember last year when we went to Mt. Shasta and Zeke just cried in the snow and said he would never go to the snow again... good times.
Good thing they forget easily!
I love your boys Annette..this blog made me laugh..oh the dramaa! It looks like you guys had a blast sledding..so fun! See you Sunday!:)
