Payton LOVES having her own room. There's a "keep out" sign on her door, and everyone in this family knows to never, ever come in her room without knocking. Of course because no one's ever allowed in, it's all the boys think about and try to do. It's an amazing privelage to be invited in.
Jonah found a way in.
Payton loves to read. After a trip to the library she halls her 24 books (I'm not kidding) into her room and won't come out but to eat and go to school until she's finished every last book. Jonah NEVER checks out a book from the library. He's happy to play on the computers there for an hour. Books didn't really hold an interest for him, until now.
He has to read 15-20 minutes out loud to us each night, so I asked him if he wanted to pick out some Star Wars books for his homework. I was stunned when he said yes! He picked out four, showed them to Payton, and asked if they could read together when they got home. He now has access to his sister AND her room, and he's finally reading chapter books! Yay for happy endings!
