Brandy Creek Falls

We had made plans to go snowboarding for Trav's birthday one Sunday when our plans were dashed with a rainy weather forecast.  After Payton shed a few tears (OK maybe a lot of tears) and I sufficiently moped, we regrouped and decided that we should still do something with this day we had set aside.
While Mt. Shasta was forecasting rain, we were expecting just clouds around town, so we decided to head out to Brandy Creek Falls for a hike.  It was a terrific day.  There's something about getting outside away from the house together that is just so rejuvenating as a family.  We had adventure, shared a few laughs, and made some more memories.  We made lemonade with our lemons.
